Hi, I’m Mahide. My name means “a feast, a table full of food” in Turkish, although anyone who knows me will tell you I’m surprisingly easy to feed.
Friends eventually shortened it to Maho, and more recently some have promoted me to “Mad Maho.”
No, I’m not an extreme athlete looking for her death. I take care of my basic fitness in which I swim regularly, sometimes run, and do some strength training. Not regularly, but as often as possible I go hiking – near or far, easy or difficult. Scuba diving is another passion of mine, even though I learned swimming at the age of 29.
What began as a creative outlet for an engineer’s mind slowly evolved into MAHO on Earth.
Today, the mission remains the same: to keep exploring, keep learning, and help others discover that adventure has no age limit, no fixed destination, and no finish line.
As long as there are new places to understand, new cultures to experience, and new stories to share, the journey continues.
