If you join one of these tours, your Victoria Falls adventure is included. Otherwise, you may want to account for additional days in Victoria Falls. Please contact us if you need any support with your pre-tour travel arrangements.
Today we will be picked up from our hotel in Victoria Falls and brought to our accommodation in Botswana with an amazing waterhole, which is frequented by elephants and other animals every day and night!
After enjoying a delicious dinner, you can sit back and watch the nocturnal animals at the floodlit waterhole!
This morning we will depart early and head to Gweta for our quad bike adventure on the spectacular Makgadikgadi Pan, a place of endless horizons, a vast salt pan.
We'll have the chance to discover the unique, desert-adapted species that inhabit the lunar-like landscape before sleeping out under the stars in a magical fly camp. A truly unique experience!
We’ll rise early today to greet the cutest residents of the desert, the Kalahari meerkats.
After arriving in Gweta and settling in our lodge, we will go on a village walk and enjoy a traditional lunch, spend some time with the local Batswana people and learn a little about the way of life in this extraordinary part of the world.
In the afternoon we will head out on a baobab forest bushwalk before dinner. In between, there will be some free time to shake off the heat of the day and the dust of the desert in the largest, coolest swimming pool in the Kalahari, or enjoy a drink at the bar of our lodge.
Today after breakfast, we’ll make our way to Maun, the gateway to the Okavango Delta. Packed lunch will be served on the way to Maun.
In the afternoon you'll have the opportunity to take a (doors-off) scenic flight over the Delta (own expense). The rates start at approx. $100 US, but it's worth it. The views of the waterways, islands, and animals are simply mind-blowing.
The evening is free to relax at the lodge or you may want to head out to one of the restaurants in town.
This morning, we’ll head out deeper into the Okavango Delta and explore the shallow waterways of the delta on mokoro (traditional dugout canoe) excursions, and game walks through this unique part of the world.
As we slide through the water channels on a mokoro, we will encounter the resident animal species like hippos, fish eagles and reed-clinging frogs that decorate the channels.
We will camp on remote islands and experience the tranquility of the Delta. Our camp will be set up ready for us to relax and enjoy our surroundings. We will end the day with a delicious meal around a campfire and an endless horizon of stars.
From the Okavango Delta, we’ll transfer to a 4×4 vehicle and make our way to the camp in game drive mode through Botswana’s wilderness.
Moremi Game Reserve and Khwai concession wildlife areas are very famous for predators like lions, wild dogs and leopards, and a vast number of other animals including giraffe, buffalo, elephants and birds.
We will spend the next two nights of our adventures marveling at the breathtaking views from forests and floodplains to lagoons and islands, and a wealthy wildlife concentration.
Nights will be in the wild camping with the best chance of seeing the animals. Our camp will be set up by our support crew and waiting for us. Delicious bush-dinner will be served under the beautiful African night sky.
Another day of nonstop wildlife sightings will keep us occupied on game drives and bush walks.
We’ll continue through the game reserves, moving on to the remote, raw and wild Savuti region of Chobe National Park, renowned for its impressive concentrations of wildlife and a prime spot to view predators like lions, leopards and spotted hyenas.
The vegetation in this regions is unique on its own: indigenous mopane forests are complemented by acacia savanna and rocky outcrops.
We will spend the next two nights in our mobile bush camp in the awe of this region, enjoying spectacular sunsets, dining under the stars before drifting of to a peaceful sleep with dreams shaped by the day's experiences.
We'll raise early today to another friendly Botswana "dumela" (good day) along with a quick cup of tea or coffee and a light continental breakfast before setting off on an early morning game drive in search of the big cats, or possibly the endangered wild dogs as they are the most active at this time. Around mid to late morning, we will return to camp for a delicious “bush brunch” and have the opportunity to take a refreshing shower and a siesta.
In the afternoon, as the day starts to cool off, we go on a sundowner game drive. All game drives take place in 4x4 safari vehicle with local Botswanan guides with excellent knowledge of the area. Stunning sunsets and outstanding game viewing await you in Botswana's Chobe National Park. It's not uncommon to find herds of elephants, buffaloes and zebras numbering several thousand individuals! With a high prey density comes great predator populations.
We return to camp after sunset for a reflective fireside chat, bush dinner and as always accompanied by the unforgettable sounds of the African night.
Following another "dumela" dawn wake-up call and breakfast, we leave the park in game drive mode. With our hearts full of the impressions of the past days, we bid farewell to our new friends.
If you haven't joined our Namibia + Chobe + Victoria Falls tour before, we recommend you stay a night longer in Kasane and join the boat safari on Chobe Riverfront.
Our trip ends today with a drop off at Kasane or Victoria Falls airport or hotel of your choice.

Disclaimer: The following information is intended as a guide only and is not intended to replace professional advice. We, at MAHO on Earth, cannot guarantee that the following information is complete, up-to-date, accurate, or error-free.
As of the publishing date, there are no mandatory vaccinations to enter Botswana, or Zimbabwe if entering directly from EU. However, since the information may change quickly, we advise you to follow up on the latest travel updates and/or contact your local embassy. If you are entering the country from a yellow-fewer region, you may need to present proof of yellow-fewer vaccination. Please consult with your local authorities.
In Botswana and Victoria Falls, where water is abundant, the risk of Malaria is high all year around. We do highly recommend that you obtain professional travel health advice at your doctor or an institute of tropical medicine with respect to your individual needs and your intended travel, including advice on vaccinations, anti-malarial and other medications based on your past vaccination history, your present medical condition, and your intended itinerary.
To join this trip, you'll need to have a reasonable level of fitness. While not too strenuous, the tour involves somewhat long journeys on gravel roads (this is Africa), a fair amount of walking, early-morning wake-up calls, being in the sun in potentially hot temperatures, cold desert nights, and other similar scenarios.
This trip may not be suitable for people with special needs such as reduced mobility due to local conditions and activities. If in doubt, please contact us.

We do strongly recommend you take out travel insurance as soon as you make your deposit to ensure the most coverage. Your travel insurance policy should at least cover medical expenses, trip cancellations, activities you intend to do, and repatriation in the event of an accident or illness. We will reach out and collect your travel insurance and emergency contact details shortly before the departure date. Your trip price with us does not include any travel insurance. Travel insurance policies are generally speaking more economical when taken out locally in your country of origin.
While your trip with us cover most of the expenses, things such as alcoholic beverages, souvenirs, snacks, laundry, visa fee, meals not included are examples of a few additional costs that might arise during your trip. Any optional activity is mentioned clearly so that you don't have to worry about hidden costs.
The countries visited on this trip accept the USD or EUR for tourism. While credit cards are accepted, there is usually an additional fee. ATMs are scarce outside of bigger towns. We recommend carrying some cash and budgeting around $20 – $50 USD per day for incidental expenses and tips.
Please note: Our tour price does not include tips/gratuities for the local guides, as tipping is discretionary and should be based on your satisfaction with the service provided. It is however customary to express your appreciation for a job well done, and guidelines will be given on tipping local guides.
