  • Train ticket from Ella to Ambewela or vice versa (please note: as of Feb 2026, the service to Kandy is not in operation after the cyclone disaster in Nov/Dec 2025).
  • Car transfer from Ambewela to Kandy or vice versa (get in touch for different destinations).
  • Full service day trip including hotel pick up in Ella, help with boarding the train, luggage transfer to the destination station, and drop off in Kandy (or vice versa).

How it works?

  1. Choose your desired travel service from the list of options.
  2. Complete the booking form. Please indicate your travel date and route, number of tickets required, names and passport numbers of the passengers, as well as the preferred ticket class.
  3. We will get back to you within 48 hours and we may ask some follow-up questions to fully understand your needs before accepting your request.
  4. Once we are sure that we can fulfill your request, we will confirm your booking and send you the payment information if not already paid by credit card at check out page.

Once we have received your payment we will:

  1. Send you a confirmation email with further details to start working on your desired service.
  2. Turnaround time varies depending on the availability of the tickets. In peak seasons, we may not be able to confirm the tickets until 1 day before the departure date. That’s why we always recommend you book a full service day package with us as early as possible.
  3. In the unlikely event of failing to secure your desired tickets, we will either offer you alternative options e.g. third class reserved seat instead of second class, or issue a refund minus transaction fees if any.

The ticket once issued is non-refundable. You would get a refund minus any transaction fees if we fail to secure the ticket(s).

 

Optional private car transfer with driver

If you prefer a hassle free service, we can arrange a private car and driver for your party to bring you to the train station, keep your luggage safe while you are on the train, meet you at the destination and drop off to your hotel. You can opt to have a transfer only, or day trip service with optional stops along the way. A standard car is for maximum 3 passengers.

What you should know before booking a service

  • You must be at least 18 years old to book any of the services listed above.
  • We recommend booking the service of your choice latest by 8 days prior to the first date of your trip date, ideally not less than 20 days.
  • In some cases we may accept last minute service requests, which may be subject to an additional fee.
  • We reserve the right to decline your request and issue a refund.
